Thanks for visiting our web site! We are extremely excited to share fun things to do in Phoenix with your kids. As we discover new activities for kids, we’ll share them on this web site.
This web site is written by Jana and Chris. Here are some quick facts about us: Chris is a native, and Jana is from Wisconsin. We were married in 2010 and now have a 5 year old daughter, and a 2 year old son. We live in Scottsdale, Arizona. We love to travel and have been all over the world. Our favorite escape from the heat is Hawaii, and we’ve made two trips out there since we were married. Chris works for himself as a web designer and Jana is a stay at home mom. We enjoy cooking , camping, road trips, and attend church at Calvin Presbyterian. Chris also writes a popular site about coffee shops in Arizona.
This website got its humble beginnings when we created a list of a few things to do with kids for a friend. Before long, we had remembered a few more things, and the list kept growing. Then, we thought “let’s share this with other people” and so we put it on the web. And, here we are today expanding the list to include a bit more information in a format that should allow us to grow the site over time.
Some of our favorite activities in Phoenix include: bike riding, visiting parks and splash pads, museums, movies and popcorn, and hiking and sightseeing. Now would be a good time to also mention another list we made, of things to do in Arizona. That list is more general than this one, which is geared towards activities for kids in Phoenix.
The most challenging time of year for parents in Arizona is summertime. There’s no doubt about it, during the summer we get cabin fever. As I write this page, we’re at the tail end of a long summer and we’re constantly having to stretch the limits of what we can do to get out of the house.
The opposite is true in wintertime: you can go outside any time you want, and the weather is normally butt-kicking amazing. So much so, that I’m almost okay putting up with the snowbirds clogging our roads.
